E.V.R.T. is a team of students from North Penn High School conducting research into virtual reality applications within the classroom. Our goal is to find and create practical solutions to classroom difficulties by creating and utilizing the aid of virtual reality hardware and software.

Getting to know us...
Julia- Hi! I'm Julia. My interests include programming, networking, designing, prototyping, video games, and competitive shotgun shooting. I'm genuinely a goof, but can be serious when the time comes. I love spending any free time available in the Engineering Pod in the High School. I'm currently working on this project, and an Independent Study with another teacher in the Engineering Academy. We are doing 3D scanning and it's been quite the blast, but so has the VR project! For my future, I hope to be able to go to one of my selected colleges and study in the Biomedical Engineering Major. It's one of my true passions, however I have many! This Virtual Reality project is very important to me and every chance I have I want to be working and learning something new about the software and hardware we are working with. It's an amazing opportunity and I'm honored to work with such amazing people.
Harris- Hello! My name is Harris. I love literature, writing, and hip-hop music. When I'm not working in the Engineering Academy, my free time is occupied with extensive reading and writing. In my mind, books have a way of swallowing you up into another world, one strangely like our own. Virtual reality takes this concept to the next level. My personal interest lies with the literary movement of postmodernism. In postmodern theory, there exists a concept known as simulacra/hyper-reality. Basically, it represents a reality which is seemingly like the one we normally inhabit. Working with virtual reality is a fusion of my literary and STEM inclinations.
"Shall I project a world?"
Bryan- Heyo! My name is what proceeds the dash. I like a lot of things. I love robotics and electronics. I am a self proclaimed nerd. Star Trek over Star Wars anytime. macOS v. windows; is that even a question? macOS wins every time. Except for gaming. (Thats ironic because currently VR is only supported on windows.) In my free time I like to watch a lot of Netflix, drink a lot of diet coke, chill with my friends, and tinker with electronics. McDonalds or Chick Fil A is the real question though and my answer is it all really depends on the mood. Sometimes you feel Mickey D's and other times you feel some Chick Fil A. VR is very cool. What really gets me excited though is the possibility of designing my own headset to load the software for the educational programs on. And to all the marvel fans out there, always foreword! (and to those who don't get it, please watch Luke Cage on Netflix.)
